Bayern Munich have made a move for Luis Diaz, prompting a swift and firm response from Liverpool.
The Colombian winger, 28, has drawn significant interest this summer, with Barcelona and Al-Hilal previously expressing their admiration. Now, Bayern have joined the race. On Tuesday evening, Sport Bild reported that the German champions had submitted a formal proposal for Diaz, who is reportedly open to a move to the Allianz Arena.
Liverpool firmly reject Bayern’s bid for Diaz
However, in the early hours of Wednesday, Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas revealed that Liverpool had turned down Bayern’s offer and sent a clear message that Diaz is not for sale. According to Thomas, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl was informed directly that Liverpool had no intention of offloading the winger. Talks have since stalled.
