The January transfer window is ready to burst wide open, with Liverpool linked with a number of moves after a mixed-bag start to the season. The Reds have struggled for form under Arne Slot this time out, 10 points behind league leaders Arsenal in fifth place as chances of defending their Premier League title dither by the day.
And while the Dutchman has managed to pull together a number of decent results as of late, now unbeaten in their last five outings, there are still clear cracks in his starting XI. As a result, the board may decide to bring in further reinforcements when the transfer window re-opens next month - despite a summer of spending big on the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak on Merseyside.
Antoine Semenyo continues to be linked with a move to Anfield after setting the league alight with Bournemouth, while Harvey Elliott could return from his loan spell with Aston Villa early. Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah's future with the club remains uncertain after his comments made in the aftermath of the Reds' 3-3 draw with Leeds United earlier t
his month.
